In the process of putting together the look I've had to source various costume pieces used in all the Pirates of the Caribbean films, where possible, and when they're not available I've had them custom made to my specification to match.
Frock Coat Buttons
I was told by the supplier of the original frock coat buttons that before the film makers came along that they'd been sitting in the stockroom for ages, and they bought up all the stock. So I had to get these custom made up to match the originals exactly. These are solid metal buttons and not a resin or cast replica, constructed in exactly the same way as the originals. They are available in an antique brass finish which you can age up with patience using ammonia fumes to match Jack's or now I have them available in a copperbrass colour which is a much closer match to the original, and then aged professionally and sealed so you won't lose the aged look. I think this is how the originals had also been treated seeing them close up.

Waistcoat/Vest and Breeches Buttons
Despite what you may read on other sites, the buttons used for Jack's waistcoat in both Dead Man's Chest and At World's End are 28L (or 28/40"). I haven't seen a costume from the CotBP so I don't know for sure what were used there. My guess from seeing pictures is that they were slightly bigger (maybe 3/4" at most), and a slightly different button, with the same design. Anyway, available below are the exact same film used button in untreated form. The breeches buttons again are the same as used in the film but a bit smaller (24/40"). I also have the buttons used in On Stranger Tides, which are a different design but the same sizes as the corresponding buttons from the earlier films.

Sun Buckle And/Or Belt
There are a lot of sellers who sell replicas but none were as accurate as I wanted so I had my own made up using a casting from a screen used belt as reference to make sure all the dimensions are exact.
